THAILAND PHOTOS

Thailand is nicknamed Land of Smiles
for good reason..

Everywhere you go in Thailand, you will see beautiful, warm, sincere smiles. It is highly contagious. Before you know it, you’ll be smiling too, from the inside out. The Thai people are the most gracious people you will ever meet. They are very proud of their country’s culture and heritage, and they are very generous in sharing it with you. That's one of the reasons people love Thailand. I will show you, from years of personal experience, how you can enjoy Thailand while making your travel a very profitable venture.

You can see that the earliest Thai architecture shows towers spiraling toward heaven. Modern Thai architecture still shows towers spiraling toward heaven. Thailand is a land of tradition and some things there have been carried on through the centuries

Loikrathong is a beautiful holiday which usually falls in November. Everyone floats little boats with candles, flowers and Thai baht down the rivers. They also sail lit balloons into the sky. It is a beautiful site in the evenings. The weather starts to turn a little cooler around November, and is quite pleasant.

Songkran falls in April during the hottest part of the year. It is more fun than you can imagine. Everyone splashes water on everyone else. It gets totally out of control but it is a blast. If you're a grouch, though, stay away from Thailand in April.

This is the famous Floating Market. Definitely a must see. This is the Floating Market during rush hour.

These are the tuk-tuks of Thailand, and probably how you will get around most of the time.

The rickshaws are another form of travel. I imported a few of these and found them to be good sellers just for the novelty.

Fishing is a big part of the Thai economy. Rice farming is still #1, though. The poorer Thais can't afford to buy fish, even though it is very cheap for tourists. But there are still plenty of fish in the sea.

Some of the most fascinating sites in Thailand are the ancient temples.

Rafting down the rivers is a great adventure. You can even hop off at the bank and ride an elephant for part of the excursion.

Wherever you go in Thailand, you will find temple structures that are centuries old.

This is a picture of a woman of one of the Hill Tribes, in the field picking flowers.

Mae Hong Son,  home of the Long Neck Tribe (I wonder how they got that name) is an interesting place to visit. I had mixed emotions about visiting. They were very friendly, though, and seemed happy enough, but those rings looked uncomfortable.

Thailand has some of the most beautiful children I've ever seen. And most of them are very well behaved. A crisis in school is not when someone carries a gun or is caught with drugs. A crisis is when someone calls someone else a bad name.

Here is another cute picture of a Hilltribe child filling a jug with water. Every child in Thailand has his or her tasks. You rarely meet spoiled children in Thailand, although they are generally surrounded with lots of love and attention from extended family.

Thailand has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. They put Hawaii to shame. You can walk for miles down some of these beaches without seeing a soul.

Actually, I just wanted to see if you would make it this far down the page. And by the way, Thailand does have nude beaches.
